I've slowly been going through all the photos I took on my short trip to Toronto to see the Yankees play the Jays. It's taken be nearly a week, but I've finally got it done. Normally I get these up the day after, but in my defense... I was slightly preoccupied. (Though I still am, I'm just using this to keep my mind off current events for a while.) Not that I need a defense, they're my photos and I'll share them when I choose. :P Not that many people look at them anyway. lol. I also took a couple short videos too you might (or might not) enjoy. I put all the photos in my LJ scrapbook so commenting on them won't be the same as it used to be, but under the cut I've put my favorite photos from the trip. You can find the full size ones in my scrapbook, as well as full commentary/description on most photos. I also have an album devoted strictly to Toronto photos. I finally took time to go up in the CN tower, that was awesome. Some short notes before you go looking:1.) I adore Andy Pettitte, and since he pitched that Tuesday there are... well... an asslode of Pettitte photos.2.) I love the warm-ups. I'm a woman and I can't help but like watching these athletic and handsome men stretch, plus it's the one time during the game I get close enough to get some good semi-closeup shots. Hence there are a lot of batting practice/warm-up shots.3.) Arod has a hot body. Hence there are some hot Arod photos. Not an Arod fan? Deal. You cannot deny the man is pretty.4.) I'm sure there's other things I'd like to say I just can't think of them right now.
I always want to take pics when I'm at games but I am a geek and keep a scorebook and it's just NOT possible to do both. =\But there are wonderful people like youuuu who not only take them? But POST them! =D Yay! \o/Seemed to be half-assing it?! LOL! He TOTALLY was! Omg! Tsk tsk, Alex =D...Jorge? I know he pees on his hands but does he have to do it right on the field? ;) MOOOOOOSE! \m/ I love pics of pitchers when they're pitching =D Only ... not always of their face. Those are more loltastic than anything else. Poor guys =( I lol'd at the ump/Alex pic too! =D *is five* OMG THE HA GAME! I didn't even look at the date! YAY! \o/ Our season like, totally turned around after that \m/I hate rally towels too. I've thankfully not have to put up with them in person - yet, I'll be in Toronto in late August - but I hate them on TV. Even more, though? I hate Rally Monkeys. *glares in the general direction of LA*Love ALL of these! =D Thanks so much for sharing! \o/Do you mind if I snag some for personal use and/or use in graphics? I'll credit when using =)
You win the award for the most random comment of the day! lol. I never expected anyone to comment on this post since I posted it last June.I never liked keeping the scorebook, I left that to my Uncle when I was little and never really got into it. I've always loved photography and find it to be a special challenge to take good action shots. It's always great fun and wonderful adventure. I love taking shots of the guys pitching, thankfully my camera isn't good enough for the close-ups of the faces. I can't stand those shots, it seems so cruel! lol. But I find the mid-pitch far off shots to be awesome. It's cool to see just how crazily they contort their bodies to get a good pitch. When I look at the photos later I think 'My god, how did he not fall over?!' Use them all you want, just credit them to bethyj and/or link back to this post. :)Glad someone got some enjoyment out of them, other than myself! lol.
LOL! I'm quite notorious for that, actually. I have a bad habit of letting comments build up in my inbox and then I'll go on a spree and, even if the comments are months old, I still reply =) *is chockful of randomness* =DI have a bit of an attention span problem - with most things, not just baseball - so it really helps keep me focused. Also, I love/livefor! stats and having all of that info at my fingertips is just love =) YES! I am always boggled when people can take quality action shots because mine are all Blur City. Though, admittedly, I use disposables as I don't have a cam of my own so ... =) Haha! It really is cruel. And you know that reporters just save them for when the pitcher has a bad game! =\ Omg I know! 'My god, how did he not fall over?!'I wonder that every time Edwar pitches. Someone needs to take that boy out for a buffet lunch like, three times a day or something. 6'3 and 160? I'm 5'9 and 160 would be perfect on me! That boy is just ... crazyskinny.YAY! \o/ I'll credit you since this is a closed comm and some people might not be willing to friend it to check out the pics. Totally did! =D I just joined but I really like this comm. I hope it's more active as the season progresses! =D
