It was a last minute decision for me to go to the Yankees game in Toronto this past Sunday, but I still managed to get a decent seat along the first baseline about 13 rows up (and right by first base too). Even though we lost and I was completely surrounded by Jays fans (I've been there many times but usually have at least one or two Yanks fans seated by me) I managed to walk away with some decent photos. So the day wasn't a complete loss for me. (At least that's what I keep trying to tell myself!)
I went to two Yankee games up in Toronto this past Tuesday and Wednesday. The first game was great, we won 9-2 and I got to see Roger Clemens pitch (I also got to see the benches clear for a near brawl & see Clemens retaliate like the warrior he is). The second game we lost 14-4 and I was unfortunate to witness one of Wang's worst outtings EVAR (*facepalm*); it was physically painful to watch that game. Though I got the best photos the second day at batting practice. Just below are links to the photo albums, below the cuts on this post are my favorite/best photos.
I've slowly been going through all the photos I took on my short trip to Toronto to see the Yankees play the Jays. It's taken be nearly a week, but I've finally got it done. Normally I get these up the day after, but in my defense... I was slightly preoccupied. (Though I still am, I'm just using this to keep my mind off current events for a while.) Not that I need a defense, they're my photos and I'll share them when I choose. :P Not that many people look at them anyway. lol. I also took a couple short videos too you might (or might not) enjoy. I put all the photos in my LJ scrapbook so commenting on them won't be the same as it used to be, but under the cut I've put my favorite photos from the trip. You can find the full size ones in my scrapbook, as well as full commentary/description on most photos. I also have an album devoted strictly to Toronto photos. I finally took time to go up in the CN tower, that was awesome. Some short notes before you go looking:1.) I adore Andy Pettitte, and since he pitched that Tuesday there are... well... an asslode of Pettitte photos.2.) I love the warm-ups. I'm a woman and I can't help but like watching these athletic and handsome men stretch, plus it's the one time during the game I get close enough to get some good semi-closeup shots. Hence there are a lot of batting practice/warm-up shots.3.) Arod has a hot body. Hence there are some hot Arod photos. Not an Arod fan? Deal. You cannot deny the man is pretty.4.) I'm sure there's other things I'd like to say I just can't think of them right now.
It was no Yankees game but at this point I'll settle for just about any sort of live baseball. Tonight it was the Rochester Red Wings vs the Buffalo Bisons at Frontier Field in Rochester, NY. (That's AAA for the Minnestoa Twins and Cleveland Indians respectively.) Mother was going because she does speech therapy with a boy who's in the marching band and she was going to help out. I decided to get out of work early and go to the game with her. It was a pretty fun night. The home team lost (Red Wings) but at least I finally got to Frontier Field. It's a pretty nice field.
A ton of pictures that I took at the gmae on Wednesday against the Indians.
Here are my pics from Opening Day, Phillies vs the Braves:http://heatherw.com/other/gallery/v/phillies/opening07/
I've finally finished uploading my pics from our Phillies spring training trip a few weeks back (3 days of workouts, 4 games.) I'm a picture freak, so I have a ton of pics in the gallery. They are all found here:http://heatherw.com/other/gallery/v/phillies/st07/I also have been working on uploading pics from the last few seasons into my gallery. I already some up, but I still have a ton more just sitting on my computer. Hopefully I'll be able to add other games and such that I haven't uploaded yet at some point. The pics in this gallery include away games (so far I only have the games at Wrigley up, but I really want to add our pics from LA, SD, and Baltimore), and the home games include games against Houston, Atlanta, and Florida. All my Phillies pics can be found here:http://heatherw.com/other/gallery/v/phillies/I also have some baseball related pics in my Travel directory, under Chicago (a tour of Wrigley, and a Twins/White Sox game) and Boston (a tour of Fenway.):http://heatherw.com/other/gallery/v/travelPhew, that's a lot for my first post here, huh! Please do not use any of the pictures without my permission. Enjoy. :)
